Analysis & certification

Our quality of product is tested and certified by a third party International Standards Organisation (ISO) 17025 compliant lab. They make sure there are no pesticides, mould, fungus, bacteria, heavy metals or other toxins and also determine the precise concentrations of polyphenols and oleic acid.

Each product is linked to individual test results (Certificate of Analysis or 'COA') for each of our oils: high, very high and  exceptionally high polyphenols.

How we demonstrate our product potency and quality

We have an audit trail certifying every stage of the process. The validation process involves a combination of documentation, inspections, and certification by authorised organisations.

Our olive groves are fully compliant with EU Organic Standards, covering all aspects of soil health and no use of pesticides, synthetic chemicals or other harmful farming practices. We submit detailed records of our production practices to the EU Standards Agencies.

On-site inspections

The Ministry of Agriculture conducts on-site inspections of the olive groves to verify that we are following organic practices. These inspections are typically carried out annually. During the inspection, the inspector reviews records, conducts interviews with the farmer, and assesses practices.

Record-keeping

We maintain detailed records of every stage in the production process. These records provide a documented history of the farm's practices, including growing and oil processing.

Labelling and documentation

Our certified products are labelled with the certification agency's logo and meet labelling requirements set by EFSA standards. This labelling helps consumers identify and verify the source and content of our products. All batches are tested separately and linked to a batch bar code for traceability.

Consumer trust and transparency

Building and maintaining consumer trust is crucial for Dalmatia Oil. Transparency in our practices and communication about our commitment to quality is essential.

We need our customers to know they are getting the exact same product with every purchase. If the product meets expectations and is consistent between purchases, there is no better test of quality.
