'Lepur' Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Our award-winning extra virgin olive oil is grown in the sunny fields of Dalmatia.  The extremely high polyphenol levels make ours, one of the best oils in the world for health - and high polyphenols mean great taste too.

The Lepur family grow three varieties, Oblica, Leccino and Cipressino, of olive trees and produce mono and blended oils with extremely high polyphenol content. Analysis of the 2023 harvest delivered results of between 400 & 1030 mg/kg - the latter being one of the highest levels achieved in volume production internationally. We sell Lepur oils in three polyphenol strength categories: high, very high and exceptionally high.

High polyphenols deliver a peppery taste, and alongside the olives' natural flavours of fresh grass, fruit and almonds, ensures a fantastic tasting oil. The higher the polyphenol content, the stronger the pepper kick!

The olive trees are cultivated using traditional and organic agricultural practice with all olives hand-picked and cold-pressed within hours of harvesting to preserve their high polyphenol and oleic acid content.

Our oils are independently certified by internationally accredited laboratories at the University of Split.
The Lepur family manage 5000 olive trees in 20 hectares of previously uncultivated land, hence its rich nutrients. Branimir Lepur planted most of the trees just over 20 years ago and his hard work has resulted in a range of wonderfully robust and healthy olive varieties. Cultivated naturally with minimal intervention, this modern grove follows centuries-old traditional practice. Their state-of-the-art processing mill supports local farmers and families throughout the region.

Marco Oreggia, Flos Olei

"Thanks for your involvement and interest in our Flos Olei project. Until now we have focused on Istria as a region because olive growers there were able to organize together in a big group, with support of the institutions. I'm pleased that you are now starting a similar collaboration of producers in Dalmatia - the region produces fantastic oils."

Ana Korunic, Zadar, Croatia

Ana Korunic was suffering with PMS symptoms including anxiety and insomnia - and as a busy mother and athlete, she suffered frequent muscle inflammation. She found her symptoms eased considerably with daily consumption of our high phenolic olive oil.

Kimberly Eastman – United States

My daughter and I have spent the last two weeks traveling through Croatia, and this tour was the highlight of our trip! Our charismatic guide, Dr. Neil, is a wealth of knowledge on Croatian history, olive oil production, and life in general. His story is fascinating! We learned so much on the drive to their family-run olive oil farm including details of endless wars and political strife in this beautiful country. Upon arrival, we were met by Mr. Lepur himself ("Brane" I believe). He served us his unique and delicious homemade sherry before taking us on a personal tour of his farm. Then, we enjoyed a delicious homemade lunch with locally sourced ingredients. It was prepared and served by a neighbour who also made the red wine accompanying our meal. This tour was everything promised and more. Thank you, Neil and Fiona!

Customer review of trip experience

"I had the most incredible time! I was captivated by the historical sites and stunning landscapes. The olive oil farm was a highlight and I tasted some of the best oils I've ever had. The wine and food was amazing and included a feast of Dalmatian cured meat, seafood and cheese delicacies. Our guide, Neil, was knowledgeable, friendly, passionate and made the trip an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the culture and culinary delights of the Dalmatian coast.”

Customer review of trip

"We very much enjoyed this tour and it was more than we had expected! We learnt about Croatia, the local area, history and people. The tasting sessions were good and delicious. Neil (the guide) was hilarious and knowledgeable. We now understand so much about olive oil, the process, different tastes, varieties etc. Neil blends the history of Croatia, Dalmatian food, wine and olive oil perfectly which is better than a guide book. If you enjoy seafood and cheeses as we do then you are in for a divine treat. Asseria is a must with its ancient history. We have friends who are visiting Croatia and strongly advised them to sign up for this experience. Thanks Neil - we appreciated your attention to detail, humour, copious facts and the delicious food."

Customer review of trip

"When many think of Croatia, they imagine the beautiful scenic coastlines but it has such a rich history just inland from those beautiful beaches. I got to see historical monuments from the Greeks, Romans, Ottomans, through to the modern era. I learned about agriculture and olive oil. I had no idea how particular the process is to produce something I use daily. They take you to a local olive grove producing internationally acclaimed oil, and tell you about what makes a good olive oil and its health benefits. The food was lovely too. Overall, it was a great experience with many laughs and fun conversations!"

Boll family, Hengelo, Netherlands.

We absolutely loved the Dalmatia Oil tour of the Lepur Mill with olive oil tasting. Branimir, the family owner, guided us through the 18 ha of olive trees and explained about the history of the village, Lepuri, that bears his family name. We love olive oil, which is why we booked a private tour to find out as much as we could and we weren't disappointed. We tasted eight different olive oils, with different flavours and polyphenol contents. We learned about production and how one of the healthiest oils in the world is produced. The taste of it is so very strong - you can really taste the different flavours and the pungency of the polyphenols. The oil tasting was accompanied by local wine - possibly one of the best wines I have ever tasted! We didn’t just learn about the oil, we experienced a Croatian family at home. We heard about life in the village and how the mill started as a hobby, and also about the socialist era and the War of Independence. Our private tour was a family of four and we all had different oil favourites - so we've come home with lots of bottles of each variety. We were extremely happy with the whole experience and definitely recommend it! And we will stay in touch with the family.
